Vault Crit Wrap up

So the Vault Crit has been run and Won, Peter Thompson of Team Tinelli taking out the inaugural event, congrats to you PT. The event was certainly hotly contested across all of the grades with very deserved winners on a beautiful blue sky. It did get hot out there so we hope that you were able to use some of the shade on so forth provided.

From all that were involved in the race and its creation, thank you kindly.

We did take alot out of the day though from feedback. We are commited to supplying better food and drink services in our upcoming events, we are also committed to reducing the entry fee a little as this seemed to provide a barrier to entries on the day. All of this feedback has been taken on board and we are very grateful for it.

The entry fee seemed to be the biggest one for many. $70 dollars for some, well a good number, seemed steep. We are glad that we have received this back from you because it helps us understand what you as a Cycling group are after and expect and we can now go to deliver on it. The downside of this is that we had wanted to pay out based on those entries being filled, like in the YouTube videos that stated our minimums in divisions 2,3,4. The economics of it that these were "subject to entries" and this means if the races do not get the support, the prize monies are directly effected, and indeed this is what has occured

 

Vault AccountantsThe Vault Crit is to be the best day of Criterium racing in Queensland for 2011. The event is slated for November 6th at Albert Bishop Park, Nundah and a collaborative effort between BoomTime Events Management P/L and BCRI.

 

The Vault Crit, named this way after Vault Accountants. Director Brad Gunn is an extremely passionate Cyclist and Triathlete and it is with this drive, passion and determination we deliver this event to Queensland and Australia

The Vault Crit aims to be an extremely hard and challenging event across all grades, with an inviting Family orientated atmosphere

The race comes from the basic understanding that riders make the event. Sure, we are organising this outstanding project however if no riders turn up, well it’s an empty track with heaps of stands set up. Pretty simple.

So how does the race look?

The premier event, which is 1 of 5 on the day, will be contested as a 70 minute + 3 lap event. It will be peppered with 10 sprint primes and a most aggressive rider.

This race will be filthy hard! The winner will be very deserving and well rewarded. Sprint primes will attract cash and most aggressive rider will be well rewarded.

Winners of EVERY event on the day will get a good chunk of cash, places paid to 3rd, trophies and photo’s- subject to entries

All entrants will be given a goody bag- full a free stuff from supporting and contributing sponsors- trust us, this goody bag will be rewarding in itself.

The setup will be magic. We are set to present “zones” that will cater for industry-Factory Zone, for Teams in the Pro-zone, children will be accommodated in the Fun Zone. We will also have areas for Food, community and information point as well as a broader view of what BoomTime will be bringing in the way of events into 2012 and beyond with the close association with Cycling Queensland.

The race will be covered Live via a streaming feed and visible through the web so Family and friends not able to attend will be able to watch via their Smart Phone or Laptop, PC or MAC. The event will also be commentated on by the VoC, Luke Lucas. Our corporate sponsors will also be afforded a VIP section so they will have prime view for the entire event.

BoomTime Events is super excited to be able to offer this event to Brisbane. All involved from BCRI and BoomTime are very proud Queenslanders and our view is to grow more events with the core values of the racing community as a first priority.
